How to Apply Your Cat-Themed DTF Transfers

1. Position Your Design: Carefully place your transfer on the item where you want it to go. Align it just right with no whiskers out of place. While heat-resistant tape isn’t usually necessary for flat surfaces, it's a good idea to use it for hats or when ironing to keep the transfer securely in place.

2. Press: Set your heat press to 310°F (155°C) and press down on your transfer for 15 seconds with medium pressure. Just like a cat kneading their favorite blanket, you want the right amount of pressure—not too much, not too little. To protect your garment, consider using parchment paper or a protective sheet.

3. Cool Down, Then Peel: After pressing, let your transfer cool for 15-30 seconds. This gives it time to set. Gently peel back the transfer from one corner, watching closely to make sure it’s fully adhered. If it’s not sticking as it should, just give it another press with a bit more pressure and time. If necessary, increase the heat by 15°F increments. Don’t worry, multiple presses won’t harm the transfer.
