2. Press: Set your press to 310°F (155°C) and press down on your transfer for 15 seconds with medium pressure. Think of it like taking a blood pressure reading, firm, but not too forceful. Be sure to test first, as too much heat can harm your garment. Using parchment paper or a protective sheet will help keep everything in tip-top shape.
3. Cool Down: After pressing, give your transfer a cool-down period of 15-30 seconds. Gently peel back from one corner, keeping an eye on the design to make sure everything’s adhered. If the design doesn’t fully transfer, just give it another press with a bit more pressure and time. If needed, increase the heat in 15°F increments. Don’t worry, multiple presses won’t harm your design.
4. Final Press: For the finishing touch, place parchment paper or a single layer of t-shirt material over the design and press for 15 more seconds. This final press softens the design, boosts durability, and removes any unwanted shine.
