How to Apply Hockey DTF Transfers
Applying our hockey DTF transfers is simple and straightforward. Follow these steps for the best results:
1. Position Your Design: Align your transfer on the item carefully. While heat-resistant tape is usually unnecessary for flat presses, it's recommended for hats or ironing to secure the transfer.
2. Press: Press your transfer at 310°F (155°C) for 15 seconds with medium pressure. Excessive heat can damage your garment, so test first and use parchment paper or a protective sheet.
3. Let it Cool, Then Peel: After pressing, let your transfer cool for 15-30 seconds. Gently peel back from one corner, using your eyes to ensure adherence. If the design doesn't transfer, repress with more pressure and time, then increase heat in 15°F increments as needed. Multiple presses won't damage the transfer.
4. Final Press: Place parchment paper or a single layer of t-shirt material over the design and press for 15 seconds to soften, increase durability, and remove shine; for a shiny finish, use a protective guard sheet. Wash inside out on cold and dry on low heat or hang.
